It is probably the most interesting question, and the answer is yours to find. We can only give a few pointers.
Silk has some natural give, which makes it very pleasant in the hand and easy to knot.
For the photographs we chose the four-in-hand, as on every tie of the Maison. A seven fold, being unlined, takes a double knot better than a lined tie does, but we still find the Windsor heavy: a large knot by nature, a lot of cloth, a thick result. The half Windsor, close to the four-in-hand, is an option.
You can compare our constructions here: see our lined three fold ties.
Good to know: for the proportions, a double knot calls for an open collar rather than a narrow one. Prefer a collar with a wide opening, and a collar band taller than 1 in (2.5 cm), to show off the knot and the tie.
Bonus: the knot shows your creative side, the mood of the moment, the care and the passion you put into it.
